The IREBS real estate academy collaborates on this course with famous partners such as Harvard University (USA) and the University of Reading (United Kingdom). In Singapore participants will discover how Singapore city is developed in a constrained environment, and will have the opportunity to discuss with local investors. Graduates receive the degree “Master of Business Administration (MBA)” awarded by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Regensburg. All lectures are taught in English. The programme is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The Executive MBA in Real Estate was designed to meet the requirements for a world‘s leading executive programme for real estate professionals. The course is directed at senior and junior executives, who wish to shape the real estate industry sustainably and who would like to gain the required international experience, skills and network. The aims are to teach managerial skills and to convey best-practice real estate know-how and market expertise in an international context.
Harvard: Strategies, deal
Harvard University occupies the top spot in many university rankings. The lectures of the Executive MBA in Real Estate International are interactive: course participants discuss specific projects with renowned lecturers and personalities from the international real estate investment world, sometimes even through “team teaching” and thereby learn to assess the opportunities and pitfalls of international strategies. The teaching takes place on the Harvard Campus.
Singapore: Europe-Asia investments and innovation in building the city
Singapore is a cutting-edge destination in Asia. The residency will take place on the ESSEC campus in Singapore. ESSEC and IREBS participants will discover how Singapore city has been developed in a constrained environment, and will have the opportunity to discuss with local investors. A mix of lectures and site visits provides an understanding of the local challenges in all main market segments, but also highlights where the mainsprings of Asian investment in Europe are.
Reading: Investment skills with a finger on the industry’s pulse
Reading is one of Europe’s most respected universities for real estate research. Here course participants learn international valuation, the benefits of various investment and financing vehicles. Furthermore, they experience how real estate markets tick in the AngloSaxon world.
Course content
Within the first two modules – Economics and General Management – students receive in-depth insights into Corporate Management and Business Development.
The lectures of the third module International Real Estate will be held in the US, United Kingdom and in Singapore.
The course of studies is completed with a Master‘s thesis, for which a three-month preparation period is provided. The demanding course programme enables graduates to get a front-row seat in the real estate industry. With the expert knowledge and managerial skills acquired graduates qualify for executive positions in national and international real estate companies.
Course Duration
The course is aimed at experienced professionals and lasts fifteen months. All modules take place within the first eight months of the course and are held in Eltville (near Frankfurt) and Regensburg. The studies abroad are distributed over four weeks in total within ten months. The last three months are reserved for the master thesis.
Students spend 51 lecture days at IREBS executive education and the partner universities which corresponds to 42 net working days.

Voraussetzungen
- At least a three-year university degree (180 ECTS)
- at least 60 ECTS of post-graduate courses in real estate related subjects, e.g. Real Estate Economics, Master of Science in Real Estate or „CIS HypZert F“
- alternatively 240 ECTS from another course of studies
- experience in the real estate industry and related sectors
- a good knowledge of English.
